What Falls, What Stays
A Yoga Retreat for Movement, Integration & Finding Steadier Ground
with Erin Mulligan
Sometimes we spiral into overwhelm. Sometimes we circle back around to ourselves, arriving with a little more clarity each time.
What Falls, What Stays is an all-inclusive yoga and somatic retreat centered on movement, release, and the practice of noticing what remains. Over the course of the weekend, we’ll move between stillness and activation, giving the body space to settle, express, and integrate.
We begin Friday evening by slowing down. Through restorative yoga, we’ll settle into the space, the weekend, and ourselves. On Saturday, we move through activation and integration in turn: first following what feels alive and ready to shift, then listening more closely for what remains once the movement settles.
There is nothing you need to figure out or fix. Instead, this weekend is an invitation to notice: What feels like yours? What wants to return? What are you ready to leave behind?
What We’ll Explore
Turning Point
Morning Workshop
After Friday evening's stillness, Saturday morning is an invitation into movement.
Through shaking, intuitive gesture, walking, rhythm, and voice, we'll follow aliveness rather than trying to process or make sense of what we've been carrying. This is the activating energy of the weekend: giving the body room to discharge, express, and move in whatever way feels natural.
Together, we'll explore:
• Shaking and intuitive movement
• Gesture, rhythm, walking, and voice
• Following sensation and aliveness
• Giving the body space to express what is ready to move
• Moving without needing to know where it will lead
There is no specific direction or outcome. The practice is simply noticing what wants to move, and letting it.
Integration
Afternoon Workshop
After a morning of movement and activation, we turn toward what remains.
This session explores interoception, boundaries, contraction and expansion, and the somatic practice of recognizing what yes, no, and enough feel like in the body.
Together, we'll explore:
• Listening to internal sensation
• Recognizing contraction and expansion
• Experiencing boundaries through the body
• Noticing the embodied feeling of yes, no, and enough
• Returning to earlier sensations from steadier ground
This is not stillness for stillness's sake. It is the clarity that can settle in once something has been allowed to move.
Some things fall away. Some things stay and ask to be met again.
The Weekend Experience
In addition to yoga and workshop sessions, What Falls, What Stays is designed as a full weekend retreat, with space to rest and enjoy the property between practices.
During your free time, you are invited to:
• Soak in the hot tub
• Warm up in the sauna
• Lounge by the pool
• Journal or read in quiet corners
• Walk the property
• Gather by the fire
• Rest in your glamping accommodations
Healthy vegetarian meals are provided throughout the weekend, from Friday dinner through Sunday brunch.
The weekend is intentionally spacious. There is time to move and time to be still, time together and time to yourself.
