- ➤ On Sunday, Dec. 7, local veterans and community members gathered at Veterans’ Memorial Park to honor Hattiesburg heroes lost at Pearl Harbor, where names were read & bells were struck. Ted Tibbett of the Hattiesburg Veterans Committee said the ceremony remembered the sacrifice that shaped our armed forces. WDAM

- ➤ Friends, family and city leaders gathered at VFW Post 3036 on Sunday to honor aviation artist Clinard 'Clint' Martin, whose work educating about the Tuskegee Airmen is displayed at local sites (the library, airport and DMV). WDAM
