- ➤ Camp Shelby introduced three new races to raise funds for Youth Challenge scholarships. Officials say the races will give local students more opportunities to learn and grow. WDAM

- ➤ Mississippi State football quarterback Blake Shapen left the game on November 8 after a hard hit on his blindside against Georgia and was taken to the locker room — he later returned in uniform but did not re-enter the game.
