City leaders and Edwards Street Fellowship Center are partnering for Hattiesburg’s Make a Difference Day food drive to help families facing potential SNAP benefit delays.

The drive will be held on Saturday, November 8th, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hattiesburg Walmart locations on Highway 49 and Highway 98 — food will be distributed from the fellowship center.

USM held its annual Homecoming parade on Oct.

25 along Hardy Street, campus, and Eagle Walk, drawing campus groups and alumni together. The Student Government Association organized the festivities — including a themed float display inspired by The Wizard of Oz — and attendees gathered after the parade to tailgate and celebrate homecoming.
