- ➤ Laurel Main Street is seeking teams to join the 2nd Annual Wing Wars, which will be held on November 8 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Magnolia Street—teams will pay $250 for entry and receive 40 pounds of wings, with entries judged in two categories and sponsored by Wayne-Sanderson Farms. WDAM

- ➤ Dr. Jane Kersch, a pediatric eye surgeon and dedicated runner, has raced in 49 states and on six continents and will run in Ocean City on November 1 to complete her goal of competing in all 50 states — a milestone reached through local 5Ks, half marathons, and full marathons.
