  • This week marks eight years since Tim Boshart disappeared after being picked up from church in Laurel and later seen in Purvis — his mother, who said he battled painkiller addiction before his last known contact on September 3, has asked anyone with his location to come forward.  WDAM

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • After Hurricane Katrina caused massive damage in 2005, former House Speaker Billy McCoy, a worm farmer from northeast Mississippi, toured the impacted Gulf Coast and helped move a key bill through the House that allowed casinos to relocate onshore—ensuring that thousands of jobs were saved.
