  • An overturned tractor-trailer is blocking the road into a Hattiesburg neighborhood—crews are working to clear the blockage—and traffic has been disrupted.  WDAM

  • Mississippi State coach Jeff Lebby said Blake Shapen and his teammates handled the ball well in the second scrimmage on Aug.16 (yesterday) after cleaning up early fumbles, and the defense boosted the drive by making turnovers (setting the stage for their game against Southern Miss on Aug.30).  Hattiesburg American
  • Hundreds of USM fans attended Fan Fest 2025 on August 16 to meet USM athletes—covering football, volleyball, soccer, and track and field—at the event. Fans also enjoyed USM merchandise—available at booths—and food while they looked forward to cheering on their teams this fall.  WDAM
