- ➤ RJ Tanner, a veteran from Lucedale who was paralyzed after a motorcycle crash, received a Neuralink brain implant in April that let him control his computer with his thoughts. - ➤ Mississippi State held its first preseason scrimmage on Aug. 10 where the defense forced turnovers and redshirt sophomore Kelley Jones scored a long scoop-and-score touchdown from 50 to 60 yards.
