ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Joshua Sumrall, 37, survived a motorcycle crash after spending seven hours unconscious in a ditch near Highway 29 in Soso—emergency responders located him following a 911 call and transported him to South Central Regional Medical Center. WDAM
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Three people were shot and one hit by a car at a Hardy Street shopping complex overnight—police said all victims were taken to the hospital in stable condition and they are asking for help in finding a suspect. WDAM
- ➤ Hattiesburg police responded to a shooting and vehicle collision in the 5000 block of Hardy Street at 11:15 p.m. on July 5 that injured two males and two females, all transported to a local hospital in stable condition — investigators have yet to identify a suspect. WJTV
- ➤ Police in Hattiesburg are investigating a shooting incident — further information will be provided as the investigation progresses. WDAM
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Summer heat can be dangerous for pets and experts say dogs should be outside for only 15 to 20 minutes when temperatures hit 95 degrees because concrete can heat up quickly. Owners should watch for early signs of heat stroke such as heavy panting + rapid breathing and move pets indoors if these symptoms appear. WDAM
