- ➤ The City of Hattiesburg will open its three community pools next week, with the pools at the Ben McNair Center and C.E. Roy Community Center open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday while the pool at Vernon Dahmer Park opens only on Saturdays. Swimmers must pay $1 per visit and follow rules—no running, no diving, no glass bottles, and no smoking. WDAM
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Laurel High School and South Jones High School celebrated their top seniors as the 2025 Top of Class sponsored by Jones College. Laurel’s valedictorian Brenda Santiago will enroll in the AD Nursing program at Jones College while salutatorian Deborah Johns will pursue nursing at Southern University; South Jones’ valedictorian Madison Treat will major in forensic science and salutatorian Lauren Dean will study interior design at USM.
