- ➤ After the President approved a Major Disaster Declaration for Mississippi covering counties hit by severe storms, straight–line winds, tornadoes and flooding from March 14 to 15, residents in affected areas must apply for FEMA aid by July 22—those in counties receiving public assistance need not submit an application. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Southern Miss baseball will host an NCAA tournament regional at Pete Taylor Park after being named one of the top 16 seeds on May 25—its first time hosting a regional since 2022.
