- ➤ Hub City Humane Society has set up a fund to help pet owners cover surrender fees ranging from $50 to $300 — an initiative inspired by an abandoned puppy in Lamar County that aims to reduce local animal overpopulation. Donations can be mailed or dropped off at the shelter. WDAM
