- ➤ Mississippi public school teachers, attendance officers, psychologists, occupational therapists & assistant teachers will get a $2,000 raise starting July 1 amid a shortage. - ➤ A report revealed Mississippi nurses earned among the lowest wages and only 8.32 registered nurses served per 1,000 residents — a shortage that could impact patient care. The findings were released yesterday and have raised concerns about work conditions in the state. Hattiesburg American
- ➤ Mississippi Department of Health will resume its home visitation pilot for high-risk mothers and infants in 10 counties in July. The new model uses community health workers + registered nurses for clinical oversight to help lower infant mortality rates. Mississippi Today
