- ➤ The Great Forrest County Fair extended its schedule with an extra day of food and fun for local families to enjoy fair attractions. The added day gives visitors more time to explore vendors + local activities. WDAM
- ➤ The United Way of the Pine Belt Region is asking for donations for blankets, nonperishable foods, and hygiene items—vital supplies for local families affected by recent tornadoes and fires across five counties. Drop-offs are accepted at its Laurel office, 401 W. Oak Street. WDAM
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Hattiesburg Concert Band held its final season concert 'Get on Your Feet' this past Sunday afternoon, playing dance music from several cultures and planning to perform next at FestivalSouth (June 20) at the Hattiesburg Train Depot. WDAM

- ➤ Mississippi college football players saw their names called in the NFL Draft held at Acrisure Stadium outside Pittsburgh. Ole Miss’s De'Zhaun Stribling and Jayden Williams along with Mississippi State’s Seydou Traore were picked after standout college seasons. SuperTalk Mississippi Media
- ➤ Ole Miss men's golf beat Florida for the SEC Championship on Sunday at Sea Island, Ga. The win is their first SEC title since 1984 and positions the Rebels for the NCAA Tournament starting May 18 (coach Chris Malloy praised the team’s strong effort). Mississippi Today
