- ➤ Reona Burnett is renovating a former hotel on U.S. 49 into the MS Hub Complex to give the unhoused in Hattiesburg meals, showers, and computer access. - ➤ Local leaders and tax experts are split on a new tax law that cuts income and grocery taxes while raising gas taxes by July 1. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Public health officials said that whooping cough is rising in Mississippi while childhood vaccination rates dropped from 99% to 97.5% after a court ruling allowed religious exemptions.
