The City Council voted in September 2025 to rename part of Pearl Street in honor of longtime USM leader Dr. Eddie Holloway, and community members gathered Monday as the new Dr. Eddie Holloway Drive (stretching from 40th to Golden Eagle Avenue on campus) was dedicated to honor his service.
