- ➤ On Saturday morning, tornadoes swept through parts of Mississippi, destroying homes and claiming seven lives including a 7-year-old boy. Residents in Tylertown and Darbun said they prayed as the storms struck while emergency crews assess damage. Hattiesburg American

- ➤ Governor Reeves held a press conference reporting that last weekend's storms left 217 people without shelter, injured 27, and killed 6 while 12 tornadoes were reported statewide and Simpson County experienced a 3.0 magnitude earthquake—576 damage assessments were completed as recovery efforts began.
