- ➤ Senate Bill 2272 proposes to remove the 1.5% sales tax on farming and logging equipment, including tractors and repair parts, with commercial buyers required to apply for a permit (introduced by Sen. Neil Whaley). The measure is under House review and could lower input costs for local producers. WLBT
- ➤ Lawmakers are reviewing a bill that requires performance audits for community mental health centers and would end an independent oversight office. Sen.
