- ➤ Mississippi House Speaker Jason White unveiled the Mississippi Education Freedom Act on Wednesday to expand school choice by allowing taxpayer funds for private tuition vouchers, easing public school transfers and enabling charter schools to open statewide (the proposal aims to boost educational options for all students while preserving local control).
